Our college student moved in a few weeks ago. We were excited! Pool has been down all summer, sign says shut down by county health department. Apartment was disgusting, last persons hair and grime all over the bathrooms, carpets weren’t clean. No dresser, took being ugly to get one. We tried to be nice initially, but you have to be determined to get what should be provided per lease. Common area walkways need pressure walking. Stinks like trash. Large dark dirty areas on walkway common areas to... apartments. There was trash piled up at entry door of our apartment when we got there. Old shoes and debris in balcony. We had to deep clean to move in. Elevator always on the fritz. Manager doesn’t take complaints serious. Not proactive. How long will tenants pay for a pool that hasn’t been open for months? How long will they tolerate a disgusting elevator? The only way I know to help them is a review everywhere we can until it changes. The website is lovely, gorgeous photos. They are not the reality. Make a visit and not just to the mock apartment set up they show you. Walk the floors of common areas, walkways, every floor and really see it. Change only happens with a voice, documentation, photos, videos. Here’s to helping those tenants get what they are paying for. What I’m paying for, as a parent. And safety, there are some concerns already. Doors being knocked on late at night, tampered door locks, and it’s not just for college students. Advertised as off campus housing for college students. Beware.

Please DO NOT live here If you are looking for a clean, fun environment for your college experience. I have lived at lighthouse for 3 years and the pool had been out of commission 50% of the time (constantly failing inspection, poor ph levels, basically it was a health hazard). We basically never got to use the pool and they did not compensate for the lack of amenities. The fire pit that they advertise is also broken most of the time. We would go out there to sit at the fire pit and 2/3 of the... time it wouldn’t turn on so with no pool or fire pit there was nothing to do. Not to mention that there is TRASH EVERYWHERE. I constantly had to step over trash to get to my apartment and my roommate had a dog and we would walk him often and there was just trash littered everywhere. Management had changed about 5 times since I had been living there, making it impossible to get anything done. It was so unstable and horrible to deal with. With no pool (when I left august 1st 2022, the pool was green and filling with algae and mold) no fire pit, trash littered everywhere, and poor management they INCREASED rent almost $100. The management turn over also resulted in maintenance problems, with trash everywhere and no maintenance the roaches were so bad. I was counting down the seconds until I was OUT OF THERE

If you value you or your pets health at all, don't live at Lighthouse. There are far better options for student housing in the Wilmington area.
Don't waste your time touring Lighthouse, they show you a fantastic show room and make promises just to bait and switch once you sign the lease.
Upon entering the unit, we were greeted with a place that had clearly not been cleaned after the last tenants left in July.
The floors were not just covered, but CAKED in dirt.
There was an air filter... sitting on the floor of the kitchen.
The dresser is in bad condition, a piece of the drawer track fell off and the whole thing is stapled together.
Washing machine was broken. And when we took a look behind it we found moldy towels and socks had been left.
Continue to find roaches in both the bedroom and common area.
Security system does not turn on.
Got a hole straight through the wall in the closet.
We have brought attention to these issues and none of them have been resolved after a week. They said that they had bigger problems to take care of.
I'm concerned with the health of my kitten and myself due to all of the mold, mildew and dust.

We have so many issues with our apartment. From broken dishwashers, dryer, ac broke in the first week of living here. Not to mention the pool was never opened. The only upside of this place is the maintenance man Rod. He goes above and beyond to try and fix everything on his own and never ceases to have a positive attitude and care for the residents. The issue is the front office being unhelpful at best. They don't seem to care about anything but getting their monthly check, especially not the... well-being of their residents.

The only good thing about this apartment complex is the amenities and the location everything else sucks. I had someone throw up in my car and they didn’t do anything about it . The front office only fixes your issues if it’s convenient for them and not a lot of work. Parking sucks and your car will get towed
